A combined car and walking tour of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania for more than 600 years, covers the most significant sights of the city:

St. Peter and Paul’s Church — the pearl of Vilnius Baroque (entrance);

St. Anne’s Church and Bernardine Church — fine examples of Lithuanian Gothic;

An afternoon trip to Trakai, the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, is located in a picturesque region of lakes, forests, and hills about 25 km from Vilnius.
Visit Trakai Castle (entrance), a spectacular 15th-century defensive complex built on an island in Lake Galvė.

Today, it houses the Historical and Applied Art Museum with an ethnographic exhibition of the Karaites, a small ethnic minority living in Trakai today.

DAY 3: TRIP TO EUROPE PARK

Trip to Europos Parkas. Founded in 1991, the exhibition spans 55 hectares.

The museum aims to give artistic meaning to the geographic centre of Europe (as determined by the French National Geographic Institute in 1989) and to present outstanding Lithuanian and international modern art.

While enjoying the beautiful landscape of the park, you will also discover a remarkable world of art. Sculptures are permanently displayed among rolling hills, woodlands, and grasslands dotted with natural springs. The yellow blossoms in spring and misty autumn colours create an atmospheric backdrop. The changing light throughout the day makes a lasting impression.

Return to Vilnius. Free time in the city.
