Lithuanian folk traditions, songs, dances, and traditional food in an authentic atmosphere - Ethnographic Open-air Museum in Rumsiskes.

The museum is located at the picturesque Nemunas River about 80 km from Vilnius. It is a big picturesque park with old rural buildings that introduce the traditional lifestyle and folk traditions in Lithuania from ~ the 18th – 20th centuries.
The museum's exposition is divided into four ethnographic regions Aukstaitija, Zemaitija, Suvalkija, and Dzukija. Traditional buildings show the characteristic features of the rural architecture of each region. You can enter any house and see with your own eyes how people lived a hundred years ago. Authentic furniture, crockery, kitchen articles, and ools are on display.
During the visit, you will see local craftsmen working making clay pots, processing amber, wood, metal, weaving, etc.
After the tour enjoy a picnic by a picturesque lake or a traditional lunch and local beer in a local tavern together with folk shows - songs, dances, and games.
